My name is Michael Haldane.
My obsession with sound frequencies began as a gift from my late mother, Mary, on her deathbed. Despite severe dementia, Mary responded only to music, mouthing lyrics and moving her body to the beats and rhythms I played. Somehow, the frequencies of sound communicated with her brain when nothing else could.
This was the beginning of my personal journey into the “Great Mystery” of frequencies and their effect on the human body and soul. My passion for music and audio started as a child and has continually evolved, now focusing on cosmic sounds. I am committed to ongoing education and training to further my understanding and expand my abilities to help others and be of service.
I am a certified Death Doula from Douglas College, a qualified End of Life Hospice volunteer, and a supporter of the Salt Spring Hospice Society. I have completed the extended “Tone of Life” Gong & Sound Therapy Training in Jubrique, Spain, as presented by Tom Soltron and Abby DelSol, and the Yogi Mentab Gong Yoga Nidra Training in Ojai, California.
I have completed Level 1, 2, and 3 programs presented by Allison Quinn of the Trauma-Informed Practice Institute. Additionally, I have completed Level 1 & 2 of the “Acutonics” Tuning Fork training program and am progressing through their extensive educational system.
I have attended countless sound baths and sessions worldwide and have extensive experience receiving talk and somatic therapies throughout my life.
The path of sobriety and overcoming addictive behaviors has been a pivotal influence in my journey to now help others.
I remain passionate about all things music, movement, spirituality, personal growth, and finding the laughter in all corners of this life’s dimension.
